NJB proprietor Norman Blakemore spent a good few years of his working life at Girling, so he should know a thing or two about shock absorbers.

I have used his units on many of my machines, always with 100% satisfaction. What’s more, Norman has developed a range of units for specific tasks. If you take a look on his website (www.njbshocks.co.uk) you will see there is a bespoke range for trials irons, both for experts – designed with a stronger 12mm piston to prevent damage – and a little cheaper for the clubman at 10mm, and they come in several different lengths. Likewise for scramblers, road racing with lightweight multi-rate springs, grass and long track, also suitable front leading link front fork use, Trikshocks, which have been developed to give the twin shock trials rider the same sort of handling qualities of a monoshock, and of course, the traditional road shock absorber, which comes in either shrouded or open spring form, the latter from just £72 a pair.
