Produced between 1968 and 1975, some say that the Trident – the last big throw of the dice from the British Motorcycle manufacturer NVT (Norton Villiers Triumph) – was too little, too late.

The production figures tell their own story.

The total number of bikes manufactured during those seven years (both T150 and T160 versions) was a measly 27,500 units, while the Honda CB 750 – the world’s first superbike – totalled for its K model alone a whopping 53,000; while total bikes produced was a stunning 400,000.
