MV AGUSTA WAS never an ordinary motorcycle manufacturer, and the 750 Sport is no ordinary motorcycle.

For a start, Meccanica Verghera Agusta didn’t set out to build bikes.

Initially an aircraft builder, things were not well with Agusta in the immediate postwar years, not least because Italy had been playing for the wrong team in the five-year conflict.

In order to keep their skilled workforce in employment, Count Domenico Agusta and his brother Vincenzo decided to make bikes.
