SWM’s Italian roots

by

IN THE LAST issue of Classic Bike Guide we ran a road test for Italian manufacturer SWM’s Seventies ISDT inspired Six Days 440. In the article we reported that the engine was produced in China by the Shineray Group. We got it wrong; sorry. The engine is manufactured in Italy. In fact, only its crankcases are made in China – but they’re actually then sent across to Italy to be machined. SWM makes a point of sourcing as many parts for its machines as possible in Italy. Sorry for any confusion caused.
